About Me

I’m Paul and here is the abridged version. Originally from the UK, I’m married, 45 years old, father of 4, originally a Food Technologist and Master Brewer since 2003.

I’ve worked for the worlds major brewing companies and spent my entire career making and drinking lots of alcoholic beverages in exotic locations such as London, Dublin, Lagos, Kingston Jamaica, Adelaide, Warnervale, and now Bundaberg.

I’m rather over beer now and looking to learn a new set of skills and see where that takes me.

What I currently do is work for a family owned beverage company in Bundaberg, where I’m on a project team to design a new multimillion dollar facility. I do this to fund the competitive swimming activities my children do.

What I like to do is run. My favourite runs are long runs and I did my second marathon in 2018. Up until last Wednesday I was planning to run my third marathon this year. But then I decided to become a student once more.

I’m a huge fan of parkrun, where I run and volunteer. I’ve been fortunate to have managed some business trips to includes some European parkruns.

As my children swim so well I’ve just learned to swim properly and the aim is to get the bronze medallion next summer and get on patrol at Bargara beach. Unless of course I’ve run out of hours in the day and need to study.

The challenge will be to balance everything I enjoy with the learning experience
